One-Punch Man Episode 18: The Uprising of the Monsters

The tournament arc continues as monsters begin attacking the city, forcing Genos to leave the martial arts arena while Saitama stays behind in disguise. Meanwhile, the Hero Association and several other fighters are overwhelmed by the wider chaos spreading across town.

At the martial arts tournament, Lightning Max loses to Suiryu, while Sneck defeats Benpatsu. As alerts about monster attacks come in, the announcers consider evacuating the audience, but Bakuzan stops them from doing so. Sourface defeats Jakumen, and although the match ends on friendly terms, Sourface is disappointed that Saitama misses his big moment because Saitama has gone to the bathroom.

Saitama later returns to face Bakuzan. Bakuzan arrogantly taunts him and talks about how he will crush him, but when Bakuzan reaches toward Saitama’s wig, Saitama knocks him out of the tournament with a single punch.

Elsewhere, Genos responds to reports of monsters throughout the city and destroys nearly all of them. The only one that gets away is the Demon-level monster Awakened Cockroach, who escapes after Genos is distracted. Before Genos can fully follow up, he is suddenly attacked by a mysterious figure from behind.

The episode also shows the Hero Association searching for missing people after the attacks. Some members find Pineapple and Mohican, and they learn that Waganma has been captured, though Narinki has not.

At the same time, Do-S continues her attack on Fubuki’s group. She brainwashes all of Fubuki’s henchmen, but Fubuki manages to repel them. Do-S says she is targeting Fubuki so she can eventually confront Tatsumaki, and Fubuki replies that if she is injured, Tatsumaki will notice.

In the post-credits scene, Garou encounters Watchdog Man, and the episode also reveals that a dragon-level monster named Gouketsu is the one who defeated Genos. Other brief scenes show Sweet Mask’s concert coming under monster attack, monsters assaulting a hospital where Mumen Rider and Tanktop Master are present, Nyan looking for Puri-Puri Prisoner, and prisoners stating that Puri-Puri Prisoner has escaped to fight the monsters. The episode ends with Gyoro Gyoro and Orochi having captured Metal Knight.
