Prison Break Episode 42: Panama
Sara sacrifices herself for the safety of Michael so the brothers can get on with their final plan to attain freedom, but their plan gets 'shipwrecked'. Meanwhile, Bellick blackmails Sucre to partner up as T-Bag's streak of murder continues to the south of the border.
Full recap
Michael and Lincoln reach Panama by boat, but Sara is left behind and arrested when she realizes she is being followed and pretends over the phone that she is already aboard. Michael wants to go back for her, but Lincoln stops him, and the brothers continue on without her.
In the U.S. storyline, C-Note is pressured by FBI and internal-affairs personnel to testify against Mahone, and he secures a deal that gives him release, witness protection, a new identity, and reunion with his family in exchange for cooperating. Mahone, meanwhile, pieces together another clue from Michael’s tattoos and realizes the tattoos point to Panama, while also dealing with pressure from the FBI and his own side of the investigation.
Bellick and Sucre keep searching for T-Bag and the money, checking leads until they learn he has flown to Panama under an alias. They eventually close in on him there, while T-Bag enjoys himself with the money and is later confronted as the search narrows around Panama City.
The episode also shows the emotional fallout among the fugitives: Michael and Lincoln are burdened by the damage caused by their escape, and the tension between continuing the run and helping the people they left behind remains unresolved by the end of the episode.
