Prison Break Episode 46: Fire/Water

Michael starts by trying to identify the prisoner hidden in the sewers after finding a note in his pocket, and he gets the needed information by speaking with Bellick. He then goes down into the sewers and makes contact with **James Whistler**, a man who is being hunted inside Sona because of the bounty on his head.

At the same time, the prison’s **water supply** becomes the center of a growing crisis when a fight between prisoners leads to the loss of the inmates’ stored water, which pushes Sona closer to unrest. With the prisoners on the verge of rioting, Michael works out a plan to restore the water and keep the situation from spiraling further out of control.

Michael also learns more about Whistler’s situation from a younger inmate named **McGrady**, who helps him understand why Whistler is so dangerous to have around in Sona. Mahone independently begins tracking Whistler as well, tightening the pressure on Michael’s search.

To protect Whistler, Michael negotiates with **Lechero**, offering a deal that will help calm the prison’s growing tension. Michael’s actions lead to the water being restored, which eases the immediate threat of a riot and causes Lechero to reduce the bounty on Whistler, sparing him from being killed by the other inmates.

Outside Sona, Lincoln follows up on the note Michael passed to him and uses it to investigate a **Panamanian bank**, where he encounters a woman connected to Whistler and takes a bird-themed notebook from her purse. Sucre also appears in a separate thread, buying a gun and learning that Maricruz is safe, then later hearing that she has returned to Chicago.

Meanwhile, **T-Bag** positions himself close to Lechero and begins trying to use information as leverage, while Bellick continues looking for ways to profit from what he knows about the man hiding in the sewage.
