Prison Break Episode 47: Call Waiting

Lincoln keeps searching for a lead on Sara and L.J. while Michael focuses on finding a way to speak to Sara directly. Michael also has to deal with Sona’s power structure, Mahone’s withdrawal, and the uneasy tension between Whistler, Sofia, and the other inmates.

Lincoln studies Whistler’s bird guide in his hotel room when an envelope containing photos of L.J. and Sara appears under his door. He tries to find out who delivered it, but instead runs into Sucre, who is looking for him. The next morning, Lincoln visits Michael and shows him the photo of Sara, which appears to point toward a clue about where she is being held. Michael, realizing he needs to contact her, asks for a phone so he can call her.

Back in Sona, Michael learns that the prison’s only phone belongs to Lechero, so he sets out to get access to it. He pressures T-Bag by threatening to expose his past crimes to Lechero unless T-Bag helps him obtain the cellphone. T-Bag eventually gets the phone for Michael, and Michael later distracts Lechero long enough for the phone to be put back on its charger. Michael then succeeds in speaking with Sara by phone, giving him the first real confirmation about her situation in this episode.

Lincoln also receives a call from Susan, who tells him that she has put something in the garage for him. He continues looking for Sara and L.J., and Sofia Lugo later meets him after visiting Whistler. Sofia has found Lincoln’s address in the visitors’ log, and Lincoln tells her that he and Whistler are on the same side.

Meanwhile, Mahone is suffering in Sona and desperately wants his medication. The public defender Raul visits him and says his trial is scheduled for the following year, but refuses to provide the drug Mahone requests. Elsewhere in the prison, Whistler approaches Mahone and talks to him while claiming to be a fisherman, trying to learn more about Michael.

The episode ends with Lincoln locating the hideout in the red-light district where Sara and L.J. are being kept, but he arrives too late to save them.
