Prison Break Episode 62: Safe and Sound

Michael and Lincoln focus on getting the next **Scylla card** from the Treasury Department by identifying the cardholder and planning a break-in. Michael and Donald Self work to confirm the cardholder’s identity, and Self goes to the Treasury Department under a made-up terrorism/bearer-bond story to get access, but he learns the card is hidden in the man’s wall safe and that the setup blocks the copying device from working there.

Michael then shifts to a physical plan, coordinating with his team to breach the building and extract the card. He and Lincoln manage to get inside despite a near encounter with a secretary, open the safe, and leave the building with the card in Self’s van.

Meanwhile, Sara realizes she is being followed after noticing something off in her purse. She runs through the streets, with Wyatt chasing her over a hill and across a busy intersection, but she manages to get away because of the traffic.

In another thread, Wyatt visits Gretchen, who is still imprisoned and has endured torture and starvation without giving in. He worsens her situation by taping her mouth shut and leaving a bucket of urine and body parts in the room, trying to make her break.

At Gate, T-Bag is under pressure because his scheme is drawing criticism for producing no sales. Around the same time, Sucre and Bellick question Gate’s secretary about him, but she lies and says she has not seen him.

Elsewhere, Roland and Mahone use Sara’s credit card information to narrow down hotels, and one lead connects them to a clerk who first tries to mislead them but eventually gives them Wyatt’s cell phone number. As the episode ends, Gretchen turns the tables on her captor by killing the assistant who comes in with another bucket, using a nail she had worked loose from the chair, and escapes.
