Prison Break Episode 63: Blow Out

Michael and the others are trying to retrieve the next Scylla card at a horse track when Alex Mahone loses his temper, punches a cop, and gets arrested. The arrest leaves the team scrambling to figure out how to recover both Mahone and Roland’s device before the police can find out what it contains.

At the track, the group succeeds in copying the card’s contents onto Roland’s device, but the situation falls apart when Mahone is caught during the escape attempt. Donald Self tries to use his federal badge to smooth things over, but he only manages to negotiate for Mahone’s belongings rather than Mahone himself. At the police station, Mahone is booked and his device is taken into storage, which forces the rest of the team to rethink their priorities.

When Mahone is scheduled to appear in court, he realizes Wyatt plans to attend the hearing and kill him there. He warns Michael, and Michael convinces the others to abandon their immediate card hunt and instead focus on getting Mahone out of the court building alive. Sara poses as Mahone’s representative, allowing her to obtain his file and fingerprints so the police will have less usable evidence against him. Meanwhile, Lincoln and Michael cut the power to the building, creating chaos, and Sucre uses the confusion to help Mahone escape.

Back at Gate Corporation, T-Bag uses clues from Whistler’s book to figure out that something important is hidden in a supply closet connected to his office. Before he can investigate properly, he is exposed as a fraud and rushes back to his suite. Elsewhere, Gretchen has escaped from Wyatt and hides at her sister’s house long enough to wash up, but her sister confronts her about the way she keeps abandoning her family responsibilities. Gretchen then goes to the coroner’s office, lies and says she is Whistler’s wife, and when that fails she knocks out the guards to take Whistler’s file and belongings.

Those records lead Gretchen to the same suite where T-Bag is staying. As T-Bag desperately wipes down surfaces to erase fingerprints, Gretchen arrives, knocks him to the floor, and demands to know who he is.
