Full recap
The episode centers on two high-stakes operations: the team forcing a path through a huge water main to reach Scylla, and the others maneuvering against Wyatt and the Company. It also shows Michael’s condition worsening, T-Bag trying to survive an investigation at GATE, and Bellick making a fatal sacrifice so the team can keep going.
- At GATE Corporation, Michael, Lincoln, Sucre, and Bellick work to reach the hidden access route to Scylla. They first try to dig under a pipe, but when that fails, they decide to tunnel *through* the pipe and into the Company headquarters. - While Lincoln and Bellick sabotage the water main, Michael’s health deteriorates sharply, forcing Sucre to continue some of the work without him. - The team manages to install the pipe they need, but the process becomes dangerous when the pipe slips. Bellick realizes what is about to happen and jumps into the conduit to stabilize it from the inside. - Bellick holds the pipe in place long enough for the team to finish the job, but in doing so he traps himself inside the water main and dies, allowing the others to continue toward Scylla. - Elsewhere, T-Bag is under pressure at GATE after his co-worker Andrew goes missing and his boss begins asking questions. A police detective questions T-Bag about Andrew and their relationship. - T-Bag responds by using falsified records and presenting them as Andrew’s, then claims Andrew’s sales records are the real problem and could cause company-wide trouble if investigated. His boss backs off, and the investigation is shut down, covering up T-Bag’s role in Andrew’s disappearance. - At the warehouse, Self, Mahone, and Sara are dealing with Wyatt. Self comes up with a plan to record Wyatt’s voice, edit it together, and send General Krantz a fake message saying Lincoln and Michael are dead. - The General believes the message, and Gretchen takes advantage of the moment by breaking into his office with a gun. - However, instead of being immediately overpowered, Gretchen is drawn into a tense exchange with the General, who manipulates her emotionally and regains the upper hand. - Mahone gets his own chance to confront Wyatt, who is being held captive. The episode builds toward Mahone finally getting revenge for his son’s murder.
