Reacher Episode 13: Burial

Reacher and O’Donnell go to Homeland Security in Washington, D.C., where they try to get information about A.M. using Joe Reacher’s Treasury connection and speak with DHS agents Omar Karim and Hernandez. The visit gives them some details about A.M., but not enough to solve the case, and Reacher also gains an unexpected ally in a U.S. congressman.

At the same time, Neagley and Dixon travel to Denver and head to New Age’s facility expecting to inspect the missiles. They discover the missiles are already gone, and a truck carrying them has been intercepted: the trailer is switched out and the stolen missiles are replaced with crates of bricks that match the weight of the original load. The two women fight the attackers and survive the ambush, but the weapons are now missing.

After that, the team returns to New York for Franz’s funeral. There, Reacher learns more about the wider corruption around New Age, including that many of the company’s security people are former NYPD officers who left under suspicious circumstances. The funeral is then attacked by two snipers, turning the burial into a shootout. Neagley kills one sniper, while Reacher and Russo capture the other. The surviving shooter claims Swan hired him to kill the team.

The episode ends with the funeral attack unresolved and the team still dealing with the fallout from the ambush.
