Reacher Episode 19: Number 2 with a Bullet

A body count is threatening Reacher’s undercover position, so he makes a risky move to win Beck’s trust. Over the course of the episode, he and Duffy continue searching for Teresa while also dealing with the fallout from the killing at the warehouse, and Reacher uses the chaos to climb higher inside Beck’s organization.

Reacher first returns from New London and speaks with Zachary Beck about a message from Doll, trying to push the idea that Beck’s own partners may be betraying him. Beck does not fully buy the warning, so Reacher shifts plans and arranges to meet Duffy again while keeping his cover intact.

Reacher and Duffy go to the warehouse where Doll was killed to look for Teresa and clean up the aftermath. While they are there, two men unexpectedly arrive, and Reacher and Duffy kill them to protect themselves and preserve Reacher’s cover. Duffy also takes Doll’s laptop from the scene.

The next day, Reacher is assigned to spend time with Richard in town, and when Richard is threatened by bullies, Reacher steps in and beats them up. Richard then tells Reacher that Zachary’s boss, Julius McCabe, has threatened both him and his father.

Back at Beck’s property, Reacher is taken along with Duke and Zachary to a cabin that is supposedly connected to the kidnappers. Reacher uses the trip as part of a dangerous setup: he kills Duke, stages a shootout, and blows up the cabin, which is actually a DEA safe house. The stunt convinces Zachary more than before, and Reacher successfully strengthens his position inside Beck’s circle.
