Reacher Episode 6: Papier

Reacher and Finlay continue digging into Kliner’s operation and follow the money trail out of Margrave, which leads them toward Tennessee. Reacher also realizes the killers involved in the earlier murders are tied to Venezuela, based on the style of the throat cutting used on Kliner.

After pressure builds at the police station, KJ confronts Finlay over his investigation, but he is stopped from escalating further when Mayor Teale removes Finlay from the case and tells him not to keep poking around Kliner’s business. Reacher and Finlay nevertheless keep investigating and track a Kliner truck to a motel in Tennessee, where they find more evidence that the operation is moving counterfeit money through a wider network.

Meanwhile, Roscoe is at the safe house with Hubble’s family when armed men show up. She helps get them out of danger and leads the attackers away, then later stays with Charlie Hubble long enough for Charlie to explain that Paul Hubble got pulled into Kliner’s scheme because he was being blackmailed with threats against his family.

Reacher goes to New York to meet one of Joe’s contacts, Professor Kate Castillo, after learning another contact had been killed. Castillo helps him piece together Joe’s investigation, and Reacher realizes that Kliner had been producing counterfeit bills in Georgia and shipping them to a client in Venezuela. As Reacher leaves, he notices he is being watched, confirming that someone has followed him from the meeting.
