Reacher Episode 7: Reacher Said Nothing

Reacher and Finlay begin investigating the murder of Officer Stevenson and his wife, whose home has been brutally ransacked by a hit squad looking for information about Hubble. Reacher notices that the attack seems aimed at *getting something from Stevenson*, not merely killing him, and the scene pushes the investigation deeper into the counterfeiting case.

At the same time, Teale escalates his hostility toward Reacher and Finlay, firing Finlay and ordering Reacher away from the crime scene. Reacher then deliberately gives Officer Baker false information, knowing Baker is involved in the conspiracy and will pass it along to the killers, which lets Reacher set a trap.

The trap works: the hit team goes to Hubble’s house expecting to catch Reacher, and Reacher kills all of them, including Dawson, Kliner’s nephew. The violence confirms for Reacher that the people behind the murders are tightly connected to the town’s corruption and are willing to eliminate anyone who might expose them.

As the investigation continues, Reacher pieces together how the counterfeit operation functions and explains it to Roscoe, who passes the information on to Picard. Reacher and Finlay also search Jobling’s parents’ house and uncover boxes of counterfeit bills, giving them concrete evidence of the scheme. Using that discovery, they arrange a meeting with Picard, but when they arrive, Picard is waiting with KJ and Teale, turning the planned confrontation into a dangerous ambush.

Meanwhile, Finlay’s position in town deteriorates further as Teale’s actions leave him isolated from the official investigation. By the end of the episode, the central characters have identified key proof of the conspiracy, but their attempt to confront it has been walked directly into an enemy setup.
