Rick and Morty Episode 25: Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender

Rick and Morty are cleaning up worm-like alien creatures in the garage when a glowing crystal summons them to the Vindicators’ ship, where the superhero team asks for help stopping Worldender, a villain threatening the galaxy. Rick is annoyed and dismissive, but Morty forces him to go by invoking his right to choose every tenth adventure.

On the Vindicators’ ship, the team explains the situation and includes Rick and Morty in the mission. The group then travels to Worldender’s base, where they work through a series of traps and defenses to reach the main chamber. When they get inside, they discover that Worldender is already dead or dying, and Rick immediately tries to leave with Morty.

The situation quickly turns against the Vindicators when it becomes clear that Rick has trapped them there. The episode then reveals that Rick, while blackout drunk, had already killed Worldender himself and set up the deadly challenge course as a twisted, punitive game for the Vindicators to survive. As the team starts arguing and trying to escape, members begin dying off one by one or getting separated by the traps.

Morty keeps pushing through the challenges, solving the puzzles that Rick left behind. The surviving group is narrowed down to Rick, Morty, and Supernova. In the final stretch, Supernova turns on Rick and Morty, killing Million Ants when he tries to stop her.

The last trap leads the remaining survivors upward, where they emerge into a bizarre party that Rick had also apparently set up while drunk. Rick and Morty end up at the party as Supernova flees into the crowd, leaving the episode on the chaotic aftermath of Rick’s blackout rampage.
