Rick and Morty Episode 35: Claw and Hoarder: Special Ricktim's Morty
Morty gets a dragon in this one, broh. It's a wild ride, broh.
Full recap
Morty pressures Rick to fulfill a promise and get him a dragon, so Rick reluctantly seeks out a wizard who creates a soul-bond contract and provides Morty with a dragon named Balthromaw. Morty is excited at first, but Balthromaw clearly dislikes him, and Rick soon grows irritated when the dragon starts causing trouble around the house.
Rick goes to get rid of the dragon, but he and Balthromaw unexpectedly connect while talking and partying together, which leads to them forming a soul bond. When the wizard returns and condemns Balthromaw as a “slut dragon,” he takes the dragon away to be killed, and Rick learns that the bond means Balthromaw’s death would also kill him.
Rick, Morty, and Summer follow the wizard into his world to rescue Balthromaw, but the wizard defeats Rick easily. They escape to a cave where other dragons reveal themselves, and the dragons turn out to be extremely sexual and unsettling to Morty. An elder dragon forces a larger soul-bonding ritual that creates a powerful dragon, which destroys the wizard and frees the dragons from his control.
Afterward, Rick and Morty part ways with Balthromaw because the dragon’s clinginess and sexual behavior make the whole situation uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Jerry meets a talking cat in his bedroom, takes it to Florida for fun, and the cat eventually humiliates him and causes chaos at a beach party. Rick and Jerry then scan the cat’s mind, see something horrifying, chase it away, and Rick erases Jerry’s memory of the incident.
