Rick and Morty Episode 84: Rick Fu Hustle

Rick and Morty are finally on the way to Boob World when they make a stop at a Trader Joe’s parking lot, where Rick gets into a confrontation after backing into another driver’s car. The other man, a kung fu master named **Liu Sin**, answers Rick’s attitude by striking him with a technique that will kill him if he takes five steps forward, forcing Rick to figure out how to stay alive while moving backward instead.

Back at home, Rick has his injuries analyzed and starts working on a way to counter the technique, while Morty returns to the parking lot and gets drawn into the same conflict with Liu Sin. Morty is also hit with the lethal technique, and he comes home in panic so Rick can help him.

Rick begins experimenting with backward movement and other workarounds, trying to understand the rules of the attack and reverse-engineer a solution. That investigation leads Rick and Morty to seek out another kung fu master, **Gerd Jergins**, who is connected to the same martial arts world and agrees to help them, though only after they deal with a personal problem involving his daughter and her relationship drama.

At the same time, Jerry’s pool-cleaning situation spirals out of control when the robot he bought proves ineffective and the family’s pool becomes a major nuisance. Beth pushes Jerry to stop improvising and hire a professional instead, but the situation continues to worsen as Jerry keeps trying to handle it himself.

As Rick and Morty deepen their search for a cure, the martial arts conflict escalates into larger and larger confrontations, with increasingly absurd fighting techniques and city-damaging chaos. The episode ends with the conflict resolved enough for Rick, Morty, and the people they met through the martial arts plot to come together in a more peaceful, celebratory setting, while the pool problem at home has also been pushed toward a temporary resolution.
