Rick and Morty Episode 9: Something Ricked This Way Comes

Summer takes a job at a mysterious antique shop run by a charming man named Mr. Needful, who gives customers items that seem to solve their problems but come with nasty curses attached. Rick becomes suspicious of the shop, tests one of the cursed objects, and decides to fight back by creating technology that can detect and remove curses. He opens a competing business, which quickly drives Mr. Needful out of town, but once the shop is rebranded and successful, Rick grows bored, burns it down, and later joins Summer in physically confronting Mr. Needful.

Meanwhile, Jerry helps Morty with a science fair model of the solar system and insists that Pluto is still a planet. Jerry’s public campaign draws the attention of the Plutonians, who bring him and Morty to Pluto. Jerry is celebrated there for defending Pluto’s planetary status, while Morty learns from a Plutonian scientist that Pluto is shrinking because of corporate plutonium mining and that the government is hiding the truth to keep the population calm. Morty tries to warn Jerry, but Jerry refuses to believe him until he sees enough evidence to understand that Pluto is being misled. After publicly revealing the truth, Jerry loses his popularity and is sent back to Earth with Morty.
