Silo Episode 16: Barricades

Bernard orders supplies cut off to the lower levels, trying to starve Mechanical into submission, while Knox responds by organizing resistance and having weapons made.

Mechanical’s people are already dealing with worsening conditions, including food shortages and sabotage, and they begin planning a direct push against the barricade blocking them off.

At Bernard’s direction, the blockade is used as a pressure tactic to isolate Knox, Shirley, and Walker, but the people in Mechanical refuse to break.

Billings has Pete go down to the lower levels to treat Patrick after Patrick is wounded, and Patrick tells Billings that he helped Juliette with the hard drive and later accepted a deal from Sims to stir up trouble at the Mechanical protest.

Bernard also questions Camille about her role in helping Knox and Shirley, but she evades him and does not give him what he wants.

Knox and Shirley then lead a coordinated assault on the barricade: one group works from below while another distracts the raiders, and they successfully tear down the blockade and force it upward.

After the push, Mechanical gains control of additional levels, including access to the farm area, giving them a crucial food advantage and preventing Bernard from starving them into surrender.

Billings continues digging into Meadows’s death and questions Walker, Knox, and Shirley about what happened.

When Billings tells Bernard by radio that he wants to open a formal investigation into Meadows’s death, Bernard cuts off the radio communication.

In another thread, Lukas keeps working on Quinn’s coded letter, and Bernard is impressed enough by the sophistication of the cipher that he makes Lukas his shadow so he can gain access to the Legacy.

Meanwhile, in Silo 17, Juliette wakes up after being treated by Solo, who has hidden her suit and is forcing her to fix the pump before he will let her leave.
