Silo Episode 25: Memory

Juliette and Bernard are pulled out of the burning airlock by Knox, Shirley, Billings, and others, with the rescue effort immediately forcing people in the silo to confront whether they are truly dead or still alive. Juliette is carried away on a door and brought up to the medical level, while Bernard’s survival is hidden from most of the silo.

The episode then cuts between the immediate aftermath and later events. In the present timeline, Juliette is with Bernard in George’s camp and learns that everyone in the silo believes Bernard is dead. In flashbacks, Robert Sims is shown with his wife, Camille, and their son in the Vault, where the mysterious voice there tells Robert and Anthony to leave.

Camille later tells Sims that Juliette, Bernard, and Lukas are threats who need to be dealt with. Bernard tells Sims about the safeguard, which he learned from Lukas, and Sims realizes the situation is bigger than he thought. Bernard also explains to Walker how to contact the other Silos by radio and reveals that Silo 1 can activate the safeguard in the other Silos.

Sims decides not to follow Camille’s lethal plan. Instead, he works with Walker and Carla to fake Bernard’s death, helping make it appear that Bernard has been incinerated. When Bernard later speaks with Juliette, he and Sims tell her that her memory-suppressing pills were switched out because she needs to remember how to stop the safeguard.

Sims then brings Juliette to Walker’s place and gathers relics from Juliette’s past in the hope of triggering her memory. Several objects are shown to her, and the crucial breakthrough comes when George’s relic is returned to her, finally sparking her memory. By the end of the episode, Juliette has recovered enough to remember something important about stopping the safeguard.
