Ted Lasso Episode 38: Greyhounds' Day Off

Ted decides the women’s team needs to stop splintering into cliques, so he and Beard cancel training and try to give everyone a shared experience away from football. Their plan works only briefly: the team bonds over a pub trivia night, but the night spirals when the players get into a fight and end up in jail.

Meanwhile, Rebecca and Keeley meet Zelda Southport, a wealthy, outspoken investor who supports women’s football. Rebecca is wary of Zelda’s business value, but Keeley is impressed and intrigued by her approach. During that conversation, Keeley realizes Roy wants to get back together with her, but she tells him she cannot trust that he is truly ready for a relationship. Roy responds by trying to date ten different women in quick succession to prove his feelings, but he rushes the process, hooks up with a bartender, and injures his knee again.

After the pub brawl, Zelda uses her connections to get the entire team released from custody. Higgins later confirms that Richmond’s next Women’s FA Cup match will be at home against Chelsea, which excites the players. Keeley also takes a photo of the team, and Zelda quietly points out that it is a strong marketing opportunity. As punishment for the chaos they caused, Ted makes the team run back to the pub and clean it up.
