Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 12: The Boar Bares Its Fangs, Zenitsu Sleeps

The group becomes separated in the mansion as they encounter new threats and discover the missing brother has special blood that attracts demons.

**Zenitsu and Shoichi's Escape**

Zenitsu leads a young boy named Shoichi through the mansion, but panics at every sound, trembling and sweating as they search for an exit. When a demon with a grotesquely long tongue emerges and chases them, Zenitsu's fear overwhelms him and he collapses into sleep. As the demon closes in on the helpless Shoichi, Zenitsu suddenly stands and performs Breath of Thunder First Form, severing the demon's tongue and decapitating it with a single slash. Zenitsu then wakes up in a panic, confused about what happened, while Shoichi explains that Zenitsu defeated the demon while asleep.

**Tanjiro's Encounter with the Boar-Headed Warrior**

Tanjiro and a girl named Teruko are separated from Zenitsu when a boar-headed warrior attacks the demon controlling the house. The warrior, Inosuke Hashibira, steps on Teruko and comes into conflict with Tanjiro. Inosuke reveals he deliberately chipped his sword so it shreds flesh rather than slicing cleanly like Tanjiro's. The demon then separates all three of them.

**Finding the Brother**

Tanjiro and Teruko discover her brother, who has been using a drum that fell from the demon to keep himself safe. The boy explains that three demons were fighting over him because he has special blood that makes demons stronger. He managed to escape by grabbing the drum and using it to create safe spaces whenever danger approached.

**The Drum Demon Battle Begins**

Tanjiro promises to handle the remaining demon and tells Teruko and her brother to continue using the drum for protection. He charges toward the drum demon, observing and learning what each drum does as he prepares to fight. Despite his injuries still healing, Tanjiro resolves to face the demon alone.
