Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 48: Thank You, Tokito

Muichiro first ignores the goldfish demon attacking Kotetsu, but after noticing that the creature is a danger to the swordsmiths, he changes course and saves him instead. Kotetsu thanks him and apologizes for insulting him earlier, then begs him not to leave because Kozo Kanamori and Hotaru Haganezuka are also in danger.

Muichiro takes Kotetsu with him and heads toward the swordsmiths, while another part of the village is under attack by more fish demons. As the threats spread, the village’s emergency deepens, and help is urgently needed.

Meanwhile, Tanjiro fights one of the demon’s airborne forms, Urogi, in the forest near the village edge. Tanjiro manages to slash Urogi’s head, but the demon splits into more bodies, revealing that cutting one form is not enough. Tanjiro keeps pressing the attack, even after being slashed across the chest, and lands several blows while trying to figure out how the enemy works.

Back inside the building, Nezuko struggles against Karaku while Genya fights to survive against the other demon forms. When Aizetsu tries to finish off Genya, Genya shoots him in the head with his gun and stops the attack. The episode ends with the battle still escalating as the demons’ multiple forms continue to overwhelm the Demon Slayers.
