Hunter x Hunter Episode 146: Chairman x and x Release

The episode centers on **three developments**: Gon finally speaks with Ging, the Hunter Association election ends, and Killua decides how to handle Nanika and Alluka.

At the Hunter Association headquarters, the recovered Gon is surrounded by cheering Hunters and friends, then sees Ging for the first time. Gon runs to him in tears and apologizes for failing to save Kite, but Ging tells him to apologize to Kite himself and says he will wait for Gon to return. When nearby Hunters criticize Ging for being a bad father, he brushes them off and leaves Gon with the impression that they can talk again later.

The election then resumes with the final vote. Pariston announces that the ninth and final vote has met the required 95% turnout, with 615 of 635 Hunters voting and 96.8% participation overall. Leorio finishes in second place with 157 votes, while Pariston wins with 458 votes and is declared the new Chairman.

Immediately after winning, Pariston shocks everyone by naming Cheadle as Vice-Chairman and then resigning as Chairman at once, effectively handing the position over to her. Ging remarks that he did not expect this move, and the Zodiacs are stunned.

The episode also follows Killua as he acts to protect Alluka’s future. He seals Nanika away so that Alluka can live a normal life beside him, choosing to separate the dangerous power from her before leaving with her.
