Hunter x Hunter Episode 147: Salvation x and x Future

The episode opens with Koala, a Chimera Ant, confessing his guilt to a red-haired girl in a secluded house. He explains that he shot her because he thought he was protecting her from cruel men chasing her, but as he talks, he realizes he had fallen into the same mindset as before: following orders and killing people without thinking for himself.

At the same time, Gon goes to see Kite and apologizes for not being strong enough to save him. Kite reassures Gon that they are friends and tells him not to blame himself. He also encourages Gon to go meet his father, Ging.

Gon returns to the Hunter Association expecting to find Ging there, but Ging has already left. Instead, a note tells Gon to meet him at the top of the World Tree.

Gon then travels with Killua and Alluka toward the World Tree. Along the way, Killua reveals to Gon that Alluka’s power was what saved him, and he introduces the mysterious being connected to her. Killua explains that he will be traveling with Alluka and can no longer stay with Gon, so the two say their goodbyes.

Before they separate, Gon and Killua thank each other for everything they have done and promise to stay in touch. Killua tells Gon to keep moving forward with Ging, while Gon promises that when they meet again, he will introduce Killua to Ging. The episode ends with the two parting ways after sharing a final look back at one another.
