Hunter x Hunter Episode 43: A x Shocking x Tragedy

Baise, Ivlenkov, and Tocino are at an Underground Auction where Mafia Community leaders gather. Feitan and Franklin, disguised as hosts, welcome the guests. Feitan cuts his speech short, and Franklin unleashes Nen bullets, killing most people in the room. Tocino tries to defend himself and his comrades with his Nen ability but cannot block the bullets, realizing they are made of Nen. Baise and Ivlenkov flee but encounter Shizuku, another member of the group, who attacks them with her conjured vacuum cleaner, Blinky. After Franklin finishes, Shizuku uses Blinky to clean up all the bodies and blood from the auction house.

Kurapika contacts Dalzollene to report that all the auction merchandise has been stolen. The entire Mafia Community begins a manhunt for the thieves. Meanwhile, the members of the Phantom Troupe escape in a hot air balloon. Uvogin tells their leader that the merchandise was gone before they arrived at the safe, suggesting a traitor. Their leader, Chrollo, dismisses the idea of a traitor, explaining that a member of the Shadow Beasts, an elite group of assassins under the Ten Dons, was responsible for emptying the safe. Chrollo then orders his group to kill any Mafia member in their way to draw out the Shadow Beasts.

The Troupe's hot air balloon is spotted and shot down by the Mafia. The Community and remaining Nostrade bodyguards rush to the landing area. The Mafia attempts to surround the Troupe, who are watching from a cliff. Uvogin decides to face the Mafia alone and jumps down, easily defeating them with his strength. An anti-tank bazooka has little effect on him. Kurapika and his comrades, observing from a distance, are stunned by Uvogin's power. While Dalzollene insists they must continue their mission, Melody hears another group approaching. A worm-like beast named Worm emerges from the ground, followed by Rabid Dog, Leech, and Porcupine, who are also members of the Shadow Beasts. The Shadow Beasts declare they will handle the Phantom Troupe and enter the battlefield.
