Hunter x Hunter Episode 46: Chasing x and x Waiting

Uvogin declares his desire to fight Kurapika. At the same time, Hisoka meets Kurapika at a merry-go-round, waiting for an answer about joining forces. Before Kurapika can respond, Melody calls to inform him that Uvogin has escaped. After the call, Kurapika asks Hisoka if he knows anything about the Scarlet Eyes. Hisoka states that he only knows a person named Chrollo admires what he takes and eventually sells it. Hisoka tells Kurapika he doesn't want to team up, but rather exchange information, as Kurapika wants to kill the Phantom Troupe and Hisoka wants to kill Chrollo. Kurapika does not answer, walks away, and tells Hisoka to meet him in the same place tomorrow.

Back in the hotel room, Melody, Kurapika, Squala, Basho, and Linssen discuss their next steps. Squala informs the group that Neon's father, Light, is their employer. They tell Neon about the other bodyguards who died during the attack on the auction and ask to speak to her father for further instructions. They all choose Kurapika to speak with him, which aligns with Kurapika's plan to get closer to the Mafia to dismantle them. Kurapika tells Light that Dalzollene is likely dead and that he has taken leadership. He also informs Light about the Phantom Troupe attacking the auction. Light agrees, and Kurapika leaves.

In a dead person's apartment, Uvogin drinks beer to remove leeches from his body while Shalnark uses a Hunter Website to find where Uvogin was held captive. He discovers the Nostrade Family is involved. Uvogin prepares to leave when Franklin tells him to hurry and Shalnark advises him not to go overboard. Simultaneously, Kurapika is looking at the same information. He realizes the Phantom Troupe can easily find their location. He orders the others to go to another room while he stays. Uvogin is already killing people on a list of possible places to find the "Chain User."

Meanwhile, Gon, Killua, and Leorio discuss their financial situation regarding buying something called Greed Island. They continue their arm wrestling scam when a Mafia boss tells them about an underground fighting ring where they can earn more money. Just as Gon is about to enter a fight, it is canceled because the Mafia wants everyone to search for Phantom Troupe members. There are incredibly large rewards for them, dead or alive. They call Kurapika to tell him about the bounty on the Troupe, but he does not answer. He stands face to face with Uvogin.
