Hunter x Hunter Episode 54: Fortunes x Aren`t x Right?

Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio finally reunite in Yorknew City and spend time catching up, with Kurapika explaining what he has been doing and how far he has pushed himself to get stronger. Kurapika also reveals his Nen ability to them, and Killua reacts strongly when he learns that a member of the Phantom Troupe who can read memories may still be alive.

While Kurapika is talking with his friends, the Phantom Troupe is shown dealing with its own situation. Chrollo has them prepare to leave Yorknew at night, but Nobunaga refuses to accept that they should back down before finding the chain user who killed Uvogin. After being pressed by Franklin to follow orders, Nobunaga challenges whether the command really came from Chrollo as their boss, and Chrollo confronts him directly.

Chrollo then asks Nobunaga for personal details such as his birthday, blood type, and full name before using the fortune-telling ability he stole from Neon Nostrade. He writes out Nobunaga’s fortune, and the prediction says the Phantom Troupe will lose more members, which heightens the tension among them.

Back with Kurapika, he and his friends briefly reassess the situation and offer support to one another. Kurapika then receives a message from Hisoka, who tells him that the bodies he was shown were fake, meaning the Phantom Troupe is still alive.

At the same time, Kurapika gets a call from Melody explaining that the mafia has canceled the bounty and stopped hunting the Phantom Troupe. The Ten Dons ordered the retreat after learning the Troupe comes from Meteor City and wanting to preserve their relationship with it.
