Hunter x Hunter Episode 57: Initiative x and x Law

Gon and Killua are captured by a group. Their captor, a man with dark hair, orders other members of his group to meet at Hotel Beitacle. Melody, who overhears this, goes to the hotel first with Kurapika. When the group arrives, Leorio is seen in the lobby, pretending to make a phone call. He is actually relaying a message to Gon and Killua about a plan. The boys understand the message.

Three members of the group, a woman with a distinctive hairstyle, a man with a samurai-like appearance, and a small, cloaked figure, arrive. The samurai-like man expresses surprise at seeing Gon and Killua again and suggests they become friends. Killua refuses, stating he doesn't want to see their faces. As Killua turns away and closes his eyes, Gon realizes this action could make it seem less suspicious when the lights go out.

The dark-haired leader asks the woman with the distinctive hairstyle to check on Gon and Killua again. She approaches them. With one minute remaining, Gon and Killua try to buy time. Killua claims her abilities won't work because they are innocent. This works as planned. Just as the woman learns the truth, the lights go out. Killua breaks free from the threads holding him, breaks the woman's left arm, and Gon kicks her chin. Another woman, who had tied Gon's arms, pulls her threads to prevent his escape. Killua tries to free Gon by attacking this second woman, but his claws become trapped in her muscles, immobilizing him. Gon then tries to save Killua but is caught by the samurai-like man.

Suddenly, a sword with a letter tied to it is thrown from outside. Realizing their leader is gone, the samurai-like man opens the letter. It is from Kurapika. The letter states that if the woman with the distinctive hairstyle reveals the boys' memories, Kurapika will kill their leader. She remains silent to protect him. The room then brightens again.

Soon after, three more members of the group arrive: a man with a large build, a smaller man with a dark hood, and a man with spiky hair. As they discuss the situation, the large man receives a call from Kurapika. Kurapika states he has three demands that must be met, or their leader will be killed. He asks to speak to the woman with the distinctive hairstyle and orders her to meet him at a designated location. He then tells the samurai-like man that the rest of the group should return to their hideout. Kurapika gives the woman directions to the meeting place, and she leaves alone.

Meanwhile, at the group's hideout, a man with a jester-like appearance smiles, saying this is a perfect chance to fight the leader, but if he leaves, the leader will die. He then calls another person, asking for help.
