Hunter x Hunter Episode 59: Bid x and x Haste

Kurapika awakens after two days and learns about recent events. At an auction, a game called Greed Island is introduced. A man named Battera wins the bid for it, outbidding others including Milluki. After the auction, Gon and Killua approach Battera, offering to play Greed Island for him, as he is hiring professional Hunters for this purpose. Battera initially declines but becomes interested when Gon and Killua mention a memory card and a ring they possess from Ging. Battera then asks Tsezguerra to assess their Ren levels. Gon and Killua fail this assessment because their Nen is deemed insufficient to survive the game. Tsezguerra is an experienced player of Greed Island and is aware of its dangers.

As Gon and Killua leave, two individuals, Phinks and Feitan, steal a copy of Greed Island and enter the game from their hideout. Gon and Killua plan to strengthen their Nen and develop their Nen abilities. Killua begins his training, while Gon struggles to conceive of an ability. While Gon is thinking, Kurapika enters his room, discusses his own training, and suggests Gon consult his Nen master for advice on training.

Gon calls his Nen master, Wing, and asks about special abilities. Wing explains that Enhancers do not necessarily need special abilities, as they are balanced in offense and defense, and mastering Ren and Ten can be considered special abilities in themselves. Gon expresses concern about a deadline, but Wing warns him against following Kurapika's path. Wing then offers a hint, and Gon begs for more guidance.

Gon begins his training. Initially, he struggles, but he soon realizes that his past training and fights have made him stronger. Using Gyo, he can see his Nen and condense it into a physical mass on his fist. However, this Nen then explodes, knocking him down. Despite this, Gon is excited by the potential of his new ability. Meanwhile, Killua has significantly increased his electrical power, developing a powerful technique from what began as a spark.
