Hunter x Hunter Episode 81: The x Fight x Begins

Gon, Killua, and Kite investigate the NGL’s Chimera Ant problem and find an abandoned village stripped of life, with its horses already devoured. They soon run into the ant responsible, a soldier called Rammot, and Kite makes Gon and Killua fight him on their own to prove they can handle Chimera Ants without help.

At first, Rammot overwhelms them with his speed and ferocity, and Gon and Killua are visibly shaken by how dangerous he is. Killua recovers first and uses his electricity-based attack to paralyze Rammot, then Gon follows up with a Nen strike that blasts him back. Before they can finish him off, Colt appears and takes Rammot away, ending the fight and leaving Rammot furious that humans with special abilities are in the area.

Afterward, Kite, Gon, and Killua continue deeper into the area and come across more signs of Chimera Ant destruction, including dead bodies and an NGL drug facility that has been taken over. The episode ends with the group preparing to investigate further, while the Chimera Ant situation is clearly escalating around them.
