Hunter x Hunter Episode 82: Kite x and x Slots

Gon, Killua, and Kite continue their advance through NGL and reach a cliffside opening that leads into an abandoned underground complex, which Killua identifies as a drug factory. After Gon assumes the Chimera Ants must be nesting in the cliff, Kite corrects him and leads the group inside.

Inside, they encounter Yunju’s group and immediately prepare for battle. Kite divides the fight, telling Gon and Killua to handle the two Chimera Ants they face while he takes Yunju himself.

Gon is matched against a Chimera Ant called Centipede, who attacks relentlessly with heavy close-range strikes. Gon blocks and counters, then begins preparing Jajanken once he realizes how tough his opponent is. On the other side, Killua faces Mosquito, who fights from the air and taunts him.

Meanwhile, at another location, Rammot is shown developing Nen after being agitated and pushed to the brink. The episode briefly follows that thread as his anger intensifies and his Nen ability begins to awaken.

Back at the factory, Kite’s fight with Yunju escalates. Kite summons his Nen ability, Crazy Slots, which complains that it is being called out only when Kite is in danger. The slots spin and land on the number four, producing a rifle. When Yunju rushes at him, Kite shoots him in the head and kills him instantly.

The episode emphasizes Kite’s efficiency and the unusual, frustrating nature of his ability, while Gon and Killua continue their separate fights against the two Chimera Ants.
