Hunter x Hunter Episode 86: Promise x and x Reunion

Gon and Killua arrive back from the NGL area with one goal: to get strong enough to return and rescue Kite. Gon is convinced Kite is still alive, and he pushes Killua to hurry up and train so they can go back once they are ready.

The episode then shifts to the conditions for rejoining the extermination effort. Killua explains that Chairman Netero has set a test: before they can return to the NGL, they must take wooden tokens from two hunters hired as assassins.

At the station, Gon and Killua are approached by a strange young woman with a very unsettling presence. She introduces herself as **Palm Siberia** and invites them to have tea outside.

Palm quickly reveals that she is connected to Knov’s group and that Gon and Killua will need to defeat **Knuckle** and **Shoot** if they want to earn a place in the Extermination Squad and return to the NGL. She also explains that only one group will be allowed into NGL: either Knuckle and Shoot’s team or Gon, Killua, and Palm’s team.

Palm then asks for **Biscuit’s** help, and Biscuit returns to begin training Gon and Killua. The rest of the episode focuses on the start of a harsh training regimen, with Gon and Killua working to become strong enough for the coming challenge.

Meanwhile, at the Chimera Ant nest, the episode ends by showing a major development among the ants: **Shaiapouf**, the second Royal Guard, awakens.
