Megumi, Toge, and Noritoshi flee from the pursuing cursed spirit Hanami, with Toge using his cursed speech to briefly halt it in its tracks. Noritoshi fires **Blood Manipulation: Convergence – Piercing Blood** at Hanami, but it presses the attack, nearly destroying Megumi's Nue shikigami and causing Toge to suffer side effects from overusing his ability.

Maki joins Megumi in a tag-team assault with cursed tools, stalling Hanami but inflicting no significant damage, as a cursed bud sprout attacks Megumi and feeds off cursed energy. Megumi prepares to unleash a cursed technique despite the risk, but Maki stops him just as Aoi Todo and Yuji crash into the scene.

Todo declares he won't help Yuji fight Hanami until Yuji unleashes **Black Flash**, a rare technique where cursed energy is applied to a physical hit within a trillionth of a second, creating a spatial distortion that amplifies damage by 2.5 times—something no sorcerer can control at will. Hanami notices Yuji as Sukuna's vessel and questions Todo's ominous poise despite his lower cursed energy.

Yuji asks Hanami about a patchwork-faced curse before attacking, but initially fails at Black Flash, derailed by anger; Todo urges him not to rely too heavily on negativity and to recognize his true cursed energy flow. Yuji concentrates intensely, drooling from the effort, and before the saliva hits the ground, he blitzes Hanami with a successful **Black Flash**, landing a devastating blow.

Hanami regenerates but reveals its left arm, turning serious as the fight escalates with Yuji and Todo now fully engaged.
