Full recap
Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todo continue their battle against the special grade cursed spirit Hanami in the forest. Todo urges Yuji to trust him as he analyzes Hanami's techniques, declaring their path to victory, before they rush in together.
Hanami catches Todo's foot with roots and flings him toward a series of spikes it generates from the ground. Todo activates his Innate Technique, **Boogie Woogie**, by clapping his hands to switch places with Hanami, leaving the spirit facing Yuji instead. Hanami explains its technique as simple yet troublesome, then recovers as Yuji expresses shock at Todo's sudden proximity.
The duo presses the attack with coordinated punches, Todo repeatedly using Boogie Woogie to swap their positions and disorient Hanami, who struggles to predict or counter the switches. Expecting another swap, Hanami is instead struck by four consecutive **Black Flash** attacks from Yuji, a feat that surpasses the record of four uses in a day held by Kento Nanami, as shown in an interspersed interview clip where Nanami discusses the technique.
Todo tears up in admiration at his best friend Yuji's achievement. They continue the assault, Todo swapping with Hanami again so it trades blows with Yuji, each landing a punch. Yuji notes internally that Hanami is adapting to Boogie Woogie.
Todo reveals he can also switch positions with inanimate objects, grabbing Maki Zenin's special-grade cursed tool to amplify damage on Hanami. Hanami discloses that the flower on its shoulder absorbs life from surrounding nature. Todo contemplates how to fully exorcise the weakened spirit.
Meanwhile, faculty from both schools intervene: Utahime, Nobara Kugisaki, and Mai Zenin confront a hand-sword-wielding enemy; Juzo and an old man named Yoshinobu, who created the veil over the area, face Satoru Gojo. Gojo effortlessly dismantles Juzo by unraveling his limbs with his power, prompting Yoshinobu to plead for mercy and treat the injured foe. Gojo notices the enemy fighting Utahime's group has vanished.
As time runs short before Hanami can escape, Gojo unleashes a massive new cursed technique that obliterates everything in a wide path through the forest until it reaches Hanami, leaving it unclear if the spirit is exorcised or flees. Todo remarks that Gojo remains "nonstandard as ever," with Yuji's stunned expression mirroring the viewer's reaction. The invasion of the Goodwill Event reaches its climactic end, though the victory feels hollow.
