Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 3: Girl of Steel

Gojo informs Yuji and Megumi that they will pick up their final first-year classmate the next day to complete their group. At a train station near Tokyo, the group meets the confident and brash new student, Nobara Kugisaki, who grabs her belongings from a coin locker and immediately complains about being paired with "hicks" like Yuji and Megumi.

Gojo announces a sightseeing trip, but leads them to an abandoned building infested with curses as a test for Nobara, instructing her and Yuji to enter and exorcise the curses while he and Megumi wait outside. Inside, Nobara ignores Yuji's stealthy approach, strutting ahead and expressing annoyance at working with him before storming up the stairs alone.

Yuji encounters a curse from the ceiling and swiftly slices it with a cursed tool called Slaughter Demon. Nobara enters a room full of mannequins, senses a curse, and exorcises it by hammering nails infused with cursed energy into it, then snapping her fingers to drive them deeper, killing the spirit.

She hears a noise and finds a scared little boy hiding in the corner. A cunning curse emerges behind him, impaling his neck with a finger and taking him hostage, threatening to kill him unless Nobara complies. Nobara sweats, considers dropping her hammer to save the boy, but realizes the curse is illogical and won't release him even if unarmed.

As the curse prepares to kill the boy, Yuji bursts through the wall with a punch, severs the curse's fingers and arm, kicks it away, grabs the boy, and signals Nobara to act. The curse flees without its hostage leverage, but Nobara uses a straw doll technique with her hammer and nails to pierce its distant heart, exorcising it completely.

Gojo observes that both new students handled the curses fearlessly, unlike many sorcerers who quit due to fear and disgust.
