Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 41: Thunderclap, Part 2

At 11:05 p.m. in the Dogenzaka area in front of Shibuya 109, a critically injured Megumi Fushiguro walks away while explaining the mechanics of his Ten Shadows Technique to the stalking curse user Haruta Shigemo, then collapses. Shigemo dismisses the explanation and gets distracted by the distant impact of Maximum: Meteor, at which point Megumi reveals his plan to summon an untamed shikigami and forces Shigemo to participate in its exorcism ritual.

The episode flashes back to the ongoing battle in Shibuya between Sukuna and the massive summoned shikigami Mahoraga, which rages across the city, destroying buildings and infrastructure while killing numerous people. Sukuna blocks Mahoraga's Sword of Extermination, extended from its right arm, as the shockwave shatters nearby glass; the sword emits positive energy, prompting Sukuna to dodge and punch Mahoraga in the face. Sukuna follows with his Dismantle technique, slashing deep gashes into Mahoraga's body and the building behind it.

Mahoraga and Sukuna clash simultaneously, their attacks sending both crashing into separate buildings; Sukuna emerges casually drinking soda and holding popcorn, recognizing the Sword of Extermination on Mahoraga and noting its effect on cursed spirits. Mahoraga grabs Sukuna, drags him across a building, and throws him toward another; Sukuna backflips up to the roof as Mahoraga pursues. Mahoraga attempts a hammer fist, but Sukuna dodges, kicks its face, slashes its grabbing arm into pieces, and severs its left foot.

Mahoraga gathers air and unleashes an air burst, crashing Sukuna through multiple buildings; he lands safely and throws something at it. The fight continues into a no-evacuation zone crowded with people as Mahoraga smashes through a building; Sukuna kills the bystanders, places his hand on Mahoraga, and slices it repeatedly, causing their building to collapse into an underground parking lot. Over the bloodied Mahoraga, Sukuna ponders its unusual reaction to his cursed technique as it rises and swings the Sword of Extermination at him; Sukuna blocks it.

Sukuna activates his Domain Expansion, Malevolent Kitchen, which unleashes mass destruction through slicing, dicing, and other effects, devastating humans and spirits alike in the area. After the battle, control of the body returns, leaving Yuji Itadori battle-scarred and awakening amid the wreckage; in despair over the destruction and death, he begs for his own death.
