Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 42: Right and Wrong

Yuji awakens in Shibuya Station consumed by guilt over the destruction Sukuna caused, wrestling with whether he has the right to live as he recalls advice from mentors and his grandfather. Meanwhile, Nanami continues fighting through hordes of transfigured humans despite severe burns covering half his body from his earlier battle. Though exhausted and questioning if he's "done enough," Nanami persists in slicing through the creatures, eventually defeating them all by himself.

Yuji hears the commotion and rushes toward Nanami, arriving just as Mahito emerges and kills Nanami in front of him. The casual murder of his mentor sends Yuji into a rage, pushing him into "full feral mode" as he attacks Mahito.

The two engage in a brutal fight within a confined space where Mahito transforms his body into a grotesque monster with countless hands that attempt to crush and suffocate Yuji. Despite being battered and pinned against walls, Yuji endures the assault, landing devastating kicks and severing Mahito's appendages with cursed energy-coated strikes. They eventually break through the monster's body and move into the hallway, where Mahito announces round two is beginning.

At 11:19 P.M. at the Dogenzaka Ticket Gate, their battle continues in an elevator shaft. Mahito transforms his left arm into a gun barrel and fires transfigured humans as bullets at Yuji, with one accidentally triggering the elevator button. The claustrophobic setting intensifies the fight, with Mahito toying with Yuji while his facial expressions betray his enjoyment of the combat.

Elsewhere, Nobara encounters another version of Mahito—he has split himself into two to search for Yuji more efficiently. During their confrontation, Nobara uses clever explosions from her nails and environmental manipulation to gain the upper hand. Mahito admits she isn't weak but believes her attacks cannot truly harm him, revealing his plan to kill her and bring her corpse to Yuji to destroy his spirit.
