Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 54: Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Part 1

The episode opens with **Setsuko Sasaki**, a former classmate of Yuji's from his high school occult club, waking in a dream-like dimension where she encounters a mysterious figure who offers her a choice: leave the barrier before the Culling Game begins, or risk being killed inside it. She can only leave once, so the decision is consequential. She chooses to leave and wakes up outside the barrier, where her classmate **Takeshi Iguchi** finds her.

**Yuji and Megumi officially enter Tokyo Colony No. 1** as players in the Culling Game. Before they cross the barrier, a **Kogane**—a small, oddly cute cursed creature—appears and announces a new rule has been added to the game. Fushiguro notes how unusual it is that Yuji already has a personal Kogane liaison attached to him, suggesting he's already considered a player despite not having formally entered a colony yet.

Upon crossing the barrier, **Yuji and Megumi are immediately separated and teleported to different locations** within the colony. Their objective is to find **Hiromi Higuruma**, a player who has already earned over 100 points, so they can convince him to add a new rule that would exempt peaceful people from having to kill others.

**Yuji finds himself falling from the sky** into the city and is immediately attacked by **Hanyuu**, a female sorcerer with the ability to fly using her hair. She is a newbie hunter who stakes out teleport spots to kill rookies for easy points. After Yuji defeats her, **her partner arrives to avenge her**, also possessing hair that functions like helicopter propellers to keep him airborne.

Meanwhile, **Megumi faces his own challenges** in a separate area of the colony. The episode establishes that the Culling Game is far more dangerous than anticipated, with threats lurking around every corner and players actively hunting newcomers for points.
