My Hero Academia Episode 117: Inheritance

Hawks is trapped in a vicious fight with Dabi while the heroes at the hospital race to stop the experiment on the immobilized Tomura Shigaraki. Meanwhile, Mirko fights her way through the lab, gets badly injured, and reaches the chamber where the doctor is trying to complete the procedure before Shigaraki wakes up.

The episode opens with the aftermath of Hawks’s covert mission collapsing into open combat. Hawks tries to keep fighting after Twice’s cloning ability has already caused chaos, but Dabi presses him hard, burns away most of Hawks’s wings, and forces him onto the defensive. Dabi then reveals that he knows Hawks’s real name, leaving Hawks stunned and unable to recover cleanly.

At the hospital, Mirko pushes deeper into the hidden lab despite taking repeated damage from the high-end Nomu guarding the area. She tears through several enemies on her way forward and keeps moving even as her body is increasingly damaged. Endeavor, Crust, Eraser Head, Present Mic, and other heroes are also fighting to break through the Nomu and reach the inner chamber.

Mirko finally reaches the room containing the doctor and the large capsule holding Shigaraki. She attacks immediately, but the Nomu’s arms pierce her, causing severe injuries and stopping her from continuing on her own. Even so, she warns the arriving heroes that Shigaraki is extremely dangerous and must not be allowed to finish awakening.

The other heroes arrive and help force their way into the chamber. Present Mic destroys the capsule’s glass, exposing the unconscious Shigaraki inside, while the doctor is seized so he cannot continue controlling the operation unchallenged. As the heroes secure the room, Shigaraki’s body begins to stir, and the episode ends with the awakening process reaching a critical point.
