My Hero Academia Episode 118: The Thrill of Destruction

The heroes’ advantage at Jaku General Hospital is shattered when Tomura Shigaraki wakes up and unleashes a massive wave of **Decay** that begins destroying everything around him. The episode then follows the hospital collapsing into chaos as the heroes and medical staff struggle to escape, while the destruction spreads outward into the city.

At the hospital’s underground lab, Present Mic had been guarding the unconscious Tomura with Dr. Kyudai Garaki when he noticed a machine still running and destroyed it. That act accidentally revives Tomura, who opens his eyes and starts to sit up, setting off the disaster. As the lab starts breaking apart, Gran Torino realizes what is happening and rushes to move Present Mic and Garaki out of the way.

The heroes fighting nearby are caught off guard as the entire area begins to crumble. Eraser Head uses his capture weapon to latch onto Ryukyu, but a High-End Nomu grabs his legs and drags him down. Crust creates a shield to save Eraser Head, then chooses to stay behind and is consumed by the Decay, giving Eraser Head a final smile and thumbs-up before disappearing. The heroes are forced to flee as the destruction spreads through the hospital and into surrounding streets, taking out buildings and some of the heroes in its path.

Meanwhile, the battle elsewhere is still raging, and reinforcements have arrived to help handle the remaining Nomu and the High-Ends. In the chaos at the villa, Hawks is in danger from Dabi’s attack, and Tokoyami rushes in to help him after sensing the crisis. Tokoyami shields Hawks from Dabi long enough for the two of them to escape, but Hawks is badly burned and in rough shape by the end of the encounter.

Back at the hospital, Tomura stands amid the wreckage as the building continues collapsing around him. He makes contact with Gigantomachia over the radio and orders him to come to him, announcing that he will destroy everything from that point on.
