My Hero Academia Episode 128: Tartarus

The episode opens in the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, with **All For One** controlling **Tomura Shigaraki’s** body and directing a group of Near High-End Nomu toward **Tartarus**, the maximum-security prison where his original body is being held.

At Tartarus, two pro heroes, **Briareos** and **Gyges**, stand guard at the Bronze Gate with prison bots while discussing the current crisis: many members of the Paranormal Liberation Front are on the run, several Nomu are loose, and a large number of pro heroes have been hospitalized. Gyges tries to reach the control room, but then spots three approaching Nomu. The heroes and security bots immediately open fire, but one of the Near High-End Nomu raises a purple force field to shield the group’s advance.

Tomura then uses the stolen **Search** Quirk to lock onto All For One’s location inside the prison. He leaps from the Nomu’s back and uses **Decay** on a Tartarus control tower, causing the effect to spread through the prison structure. The attack also disrupts Tartarus’s systems long enough to cripple its communications and security network.

With the prison’s defenses temporarily weakened, All For One is able to act from within his cell and break free. As the chaos spreads, the prison’s containment systems fail, allowing other inmates to escape as well. Among the prisoners released are some of the prison’s most dangerous criminals, and the episode shows the prison falling apart under the combined assault of the Nomu, the electronic disruption, and the internal breakout.

All For One then leaves Tartarus in his true body, having successfully escaped the prison. The episode emphasizes the scale of the disaster as Tartarus is overrun and multiple prisoners flee amid the confusion.

Two days later, the scene shifts to the hospital. **Bakugo** wakes up, while the other students and heroes discuss the situation. **Shoto** is shown dealing with the emotional fallout from the war, and his family visits him at the hospital. **Izuku** is still unconscious, and the episode ends with the heroes and civilians facing the consequences of the Tartarus escape and the wider collapse in public confidence.
