My Hero Academia Episode 129: The Hellish Todoroki Family, Part 2

Hawks’ past is revealed in fragments: as a child named **Keigo**, he lived in poverty with a harsh father who repeatedly hit him and accused him of disloyalty whenever he left home. Keigo explained that he went into town because the feathers on his wings had been tingling, which made him feel that something important was happening nearby.

After that, the story shifts to how Keigo was found by the **Hero Public Safety Commission**. He wakes up in **Best Jeanist’s car**, and the officials tell him they saw his instinctive heroism when he saved civilians from a car crash. They offer to take him in for special training, with full financial support for him and his family, on the condition that all ties to his past would be erased. Keigo agrees and asks whether he can become a hero like **Endeavor**, someone who saves people by defeating villains and making the world brighter.

Back in the present, **Hawks** is awakened by Best Jeanist while they are being driven somewhere. Best Jeanist says he is relieved Hawks was only asleep, not dead, and remarks that the Central Hospital’s medical treatment has kept him stable.

The episode also shows the wider public mood turning against heroes. Civilians are angry, confidence in heroes has dropped, and **Endeavor** in particular is being blamed and criticized as he reflects on his role as a father and hero.

The episode ends with the **Todoroki family** visiting Endeavor in the hospital. **Fuyumi**, **Natsuo**, and **Shoto** are there, and **Rei** unexpectedly appears as well, saying she wants to talk about the family.
