My Hero Academia Episode 15: Roaring Sports Festival

All Might tells Izuku that the Sports Festival is his chance to debut as the new Symbol of Peace, but Izuku is unsure he can fulfill this request. All Might encourages him to aim for the top and remember his training.

After school, students from other classes block Class 1-A's exit, having come to scout the competition. Katsuki tells them to move. A student from the general studies course confronts Katsuki, declaring war on Class 1-A. He explains that students from other courses can transfer into the hero course if they perform well, and he intends to take their place. Another student from Class 1-B then arrives, claiming he wanted to see the class that defeated real villains but is annoyed to find "condescending brats." Many Class 1-A students worry Katsuki has ruined their reputation. Katsuki dismisses their concerns, stating it only matters that he beats them in the festival. Izuku, observing Katsuki's ambition and recalling the conviction of Tenya and Ochaco, feels ashamed for doubting himself and resolves to train intensely. While Izuku trains by the sea, his classmates train at a replica city district and at home.

Two weeks later, on the day of the U.A. Sports Festival, Izuku's mother encourages him as he leaves for school. The school has increased security, with the festival broadcast live. Several Pro Heroes, including Mt. Lady, Kamui Woods, and Death Arms, are employed as security. They briefly discuss the school's use of Pro Heroes for security.

In the Class 1-A waiting room, students change into their P.E. uniforms. Tenya enters to announce they are about to enter the arena. Before they leave, Shoto approaches Izuku. With the entire class listening, Shoto states that he is stronger than Izuku, but Izuku has the number one hero on his side. Shoto then tells Izuku he will defeat him at the festival. Eijiro attempts to defuse the situation, but Shoto ignores him and moves to leave. Izuku stops him, admitting that Shoto has more potential than anyone in the hero course, but Izuku declares he will also be aiming for the top, just like all the other students.

Class 1-A walks out to the First Year Stage of the Festival Stadium, and the U.A. Sports Festival officially begins. Other first-year classes also arrive. The Chief Referee, Midnight, calls for the student representative, Katsuki, to lead the pledge. Katsuki takes the stage and announces he will win the Festival, drawing boos from the other students. Izuku notes that Katsuki is pushing himself while simultaneously making Class 1-A a target.

After the pledge, Midnight announces the preliminary event: an Obstacle Race, 4 kilometers around the stadium. The race immediately begins, and participants struggle to exit through the stadium door, getting packed into a mob by the narrow corridor. Shoto realizes this and freezes the pathway, racing ahead. Many contestants are frozen, but Katsuki, Momo, Yuga, and Eijiro avoid the ice and stay close behind Shoto. Many other students also remain close. Shoto is surprised so many avoided his attack. Minoru reaches Shoto and attempts to attack him but is knocked away by a villain bot.

Many villain bots suddenly appear as the second obstacle, blocking the path. Some are the Zero-point robots from the entrance exams, causing many students to panic. Shoto remains calm, expresses a desire for a more difficult obstacle, and easily freezes a giant villain bot solid. He immobilizes the giant robot off balance and runs underneath it before it falls into the path of the remaining students. Other villain bots confront Izuku, and instead of panicking, he begins devising a strategy.
