My Hero Academia Episode 49: One for All

The episode centers on **All Might’s final battle** with All For One, which reaches its peak when All Might is forced to reveal his weakened true form to the public. He still wins the fight, defeats All For One with a last massive blow, and ends the episode by pointing at the camera and saying, **“You’re next.”**

The episode opens in the aftermath of the chaotic battle around Kamino, with the city still under heavy damage and the fight being broadcast to a horrified public. All For One keeps pressuring All Might, taunting him about being similar to his weak predecessor and deliberately provoking him into attacking recklessly. When All Might swings in anger, All For One takes advantage of the opening and blasts him away with an air cannon. The force of the attack sends All Might flying so hard that he nearly hits a news helicopter before Gran Torino catches him and warns him not to be baited that way again.

Back in the fight, All For One continues trying to break All Might mentally as well as physically, mocking him and explaining that he has mixed feelings about finishing off hero society himself since his protégé helped tear it down so effectively. He then aims an attack at a civilian trapped under rubble, forcing All Might to shield the person with his own body. That hit strips away the last of the disguise All Might has been maintaining and exposes his true, emaciated form live on television. The revelation shocks the crowd, the other heroes, and the students watching the broadcast.

Even after that, All Might refuses to give up. All For One keeps attacking and reveals that he knows One For All has already been passed on, leaving only embers in All Might’s body. He also taunts All Might with the truth that Tomura Shigaraki is Nana Shimura’s grandson, which visibly rattles All Might. Soon after, several heroes arrive to help, including Endeavor, Edgeshot, Kamui Woods, and Tiger, who move in to assist with the battle and rescue work. Their arrival gives All Might a brief opening, but All For One still remains overwhelmingly dangerous.

At the climax, All Might pushes himself beyond his limit for one final attack. He uses his remaining power to land a devastating punch that tears away more of All For One’s mask and knocks him down. Then, with the last of his strength, he gathers everything he has left and unleashes **United States of Smash**, finishing the fight. All For One is defeated, and rescue crews and police move in to secure the scene.

After the battle, the crowd begins chanting All Might’s name. Although the public has seen his weakened true body, he still stands before the camera and points forward with a final message: **“You’re next.”**
