My Hero Academia Episode 63: Unrivaled

Shota Aizawa introduces his class to three third-year students known as The Big 3: Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, and Nejire Hado. Many of Class 1-A recognize them as the strongest students in the school. Izuku recalls seeing Mirio earlier while taking out the trash and remembers him from the previous year's Sports Festival, noting that none of The Big 3 ranked particularly high in that event.

Shota asks the third-year students to introduce themselves, starting with Tamaki Amajiki. Tamaki appears to glare intensely at the class, intimidating some students. However, he is actually timid and is attempting to imagine the class as potatoes to overcome stage fright. He fails, turns his back, and gloomily states he wants to go home, surprising the first-year students.

Nejire Hado then introduces herself and Tamaki. She explains their group is there to discuss Hero Work Studies with Class 1-A. Nejire quickly gets sidetracked, displaying an endlessly curious personality by rapidly questioning the underclassmen without giving them time to answer. While the class finds her demeanor endearing, Shota grows frustrated.

Mirio steps in and tries to lighten the mood with a joke, but Class 1-A doesn't understand it, leading them to wonder about the strange personalities of these esteemed students. Mirio then suggests that the best way for the first-year students to learn about work studies is through a training match against him.

Everyone moves to Gym Gamma. Class 1-A, with the exception of Shoto and Katsuki, prepares to fight Mirio all at once. Tamaki expresses that Mirio shouldn't do this and that words should be sufficient for explanation. Nejire tells the class about a U.A. student who almost gave up on becoming a hero due to various problems. Fumikage and Eijiro suggest they don't need a handicap, having fought Pros and Villains. Mirio asks for someone to step up, and Izuku accepts the challenge.

Class 1-A's close combat team attempts to surround Mirio, but everyone is surprised when Mirio's clothes suddenly fall off. Izuku tries to exploit openings, but his kicks pass through Mirio's physical form. Other students launch an ambush, but Mirio swiftly appears behind them. The students believe he warped using his Quirk, and Mirio then attacks the long-range fighters. Tamaki comments that Mirio's Quirk isn't what should be envied, but rather his skill, which he developed after training with a certain Pro.

Mirio effortlessly knocks out more than half of Class 1-A. Shoto watches in shock from the sidelines with Shota. Shota reveals that Mirio is the closest hero to being No. 1, even when including Pro Heroes. Shota asks Shoto why he isn't fighting, and Shoto replies it's because he didn't earn a provisional license. The remaining conscious students discuss the nature of Mirio's Quirk, wondering if it's the ability to phase through things or to warp. Izuku rallies his classmates, and they prepare a counter-attack.

Mirio travels through the ground and reappears behind his opponents. Izuku correctly predicts Mirio's tactics and delivers a swift kick to the head. Mirio phases through Izuku's body and defeats him with a super move called "Blinder Touch Eyeball Crush." He then proceeds to subdue the rest of Class 1-A. Tamaki remarks that Mirio needs to learn to hold back.

Afterward, Mirio apologizes for being naked and asks the class if they now have a better understanding of work studies. The class wearily responds that they learned nothing and just got beaten up. Mirio asks if they think his Quirk is strong. They reply that it's too strong and ask to know its nature. Nejire reveals his Quirk is called Permeation. If Mirio activates his Quirk throughout his entire body, his physical form can pass through anything, including the floor. He can then repel himself out of the ground by deactivating his Quirk while falling.

The students commend Mirio's strong Quirk, but he claims it was only strong because he used it in a specific way. While his Quirk is active, he cannot use any of his senses because everything passes through his body. This major handicap put Mirio behind his peers for a long time. He had to learn to use his head to fight and predict opponents' moves, gaining these skills through experience during work studies with Pro Heroes. Mirio explains he fought Class 1-A so they could also learn through experience. He states that in Hero Work Studies, students will be treated like sidekicks rather than guests and might encounter crazy events. Mirio encourages the first years to participate, even if scared, to grow stronger.

Class 1-A applauds Mirio's speech, realizing the potential of work studies for their skills. Shoto watches from the sidelines, worried he is being left behind. Shota instructs his class to thank The Big 3 before they depart. Nejire asks Mirio if any students stood out to him, and he replies that Izuku would fit in well working with a hero he knows by the name "Sir."

At Heights Alliance, Katsuki remains on house arrest and collects trash. The girls discuss the work-study and how they must wait for Shota to finalize their upcoming experience. Izuku decides to call Gran Torino and asks if he will take him on for Hero Work Studies. Gran Torino declines, stating he is working with the Police to track the League of Villains.

Meanwhile, Bubble Girl reports to Sir Nighteye that a person named Overhaul has made contact with the League of Villains. A character named Twice brings Overhaul to an interview location with other members of the league. As the heroes make strides to protect a changing society, villains are moving to surround it in chaos.
