My Hero Academia Episode 77: Bright Future
Deku defeats Overhaul with Eri's help, though her power then spirals out of control until Eraser Head intervenes. In the aftermath, the defeated villains are apprehended, but Overhaul's transport is intercepted by other villains. Deku recovers from his injuries and visits Sir Nighteye, who, despite All Might's pleas and Mirio's refusal to accept it, uses his Quirk one last time to see Mirio's future before passing away.
Full recap
Deku finishes the fight against Overhaul by landing a decisive 100% удар and slamming him into the ground, while Eri’s power keeps rewinding Deku’s injuries as they both fall apart from the strain.
Above ground, Hari Kurono realizes Overhaul is taking too long and moves to kill Eraser Head so the group can escape with the completed drug, but Tamaki and the police arrive first. Tamaki uses his Manifest Quirk to form a swordfish-like arm and stab Hari, and Hari is unable to keep using his power while moving at the same time. Froppy arrives shortly after to check on Tamaki, who is also carrying Lemillion.
With Overhaul defeated, Eri’s Rewind spirals out of control and becomes even harder for Deku to endure. Eri becomes terrified that she may kill Deku if her power keeps going, and Eraser Head uses Erasure at the last moment to shut off her Quirk and save him.
The episode then shows the immediate aftermath of the battle: the defeated members of the Shie Hassaikai are being dealt with, and Overhaul is taken away in police custody. On the way, the transport is later intercepted by villains from the League of Villains, and Overhaul’s fate changes again as the episode sets up that threat.
After the fight, Deku is examined for his injuries and appears to be out of serious danger. Eraser Head brings him to see the others, where Deku is shocked to find All Might at the hospital. They are led into Sir Nighteye’s room, where it is clear he has suffered fatal injuries and does not have much time left. All Might, Recovery Girl, Bubble Girl, and Centipeder are there, and All Might urges Nighteye to stay alive, promising to make up for lost time.
Mirio comes to visit as well, despite his own injuries, and refuses to accept that his mentor may die. Nighteye uses his power one last time to look into Mirio’s future and tells him he will become an outstanding hero, then dies.
