My Hero Academia Episode 78: Smoldering Flames

Gran Torino and police officers track **Kurogiri** in the mountains, and Gran Torino quickly captures him after following a tip about his movements. Kurogiri says he had gone there to meet a “wild man” in the mountains, but before the police can make sense of that, a massive figure appears: **Gigantomachia**, who begins tearing through the mountainside and identifies himself as serving All For One.

At the hospital, **Izuku Midoriya** learns that the League of Villains attacked the Shie Hassaikai transport. **Shota Aizawa** tells him not to blame himself, and explains that all the students except **Mirio** are being sent back to school. **Eri** stays behind, which worries Izuku, but the decision is made that she will remain in the hospital for now.

The episode then shifts to the aftermath at U.A., where Izuku and the other students who took part in the raid are welcomed back by their classmates. While most of Class 1-A returns to ordinary school life, **Katsuki Bakugo** and **Shoto Todoroki** are headed to remedial work for their provisional hero license exam. The next day, **All Might** and **Present Mic** escort them to the remedial course, where Present Mic explains that Aizawa is occupied with U.A. matters.

At the training site, All Might learns from Gran Torino that Kurogiri has been captured, but that the operation ran into Gigantomachia and suffered serious damage. The day’s tension rises further when **Endeavor** arrives and asks to speak with All Might. Bakugo and Todoroki also encounter other students from Shiketsu, including **Inasa Yoarashi** and **Camie Utsushimi**, who are there for the same remedial work.
