My Hero Academia Episode 79: Win Those Kids` Hearts

The episode centers on the **remedial licensing exam** for Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Inasa Yoarashi, and Camie Utsushimi, who are told they must win over a difficult class of children rather than fight an enemy. Their attempts to impress the kids all fail, and the episode ends with the situation still unresolved as the children continue to mock and challenge them.

At the training site, Mera Yokumiru introduces the retest and explains the unusual setup, while Gang Orca takes charge of the exercise and makes it clear that the four students lack not power but the ability to earn trust and work with others. Camie is included in the group even though her circumstances are unusual, and she is allowed to participate alongside the others.

Gang Orca then opens the doors to reveal a rowdy class from **Masegaki Primary School** whose teacher has lost control of them. The children immediately heckle, insult, and physically antagonize the teenagers, treating them with open contempt. Gang Orca’s point is that the students must overcome that hostility by winning the children’s approval, not by overpowering them.

The four trainees each try a different approach. Bakugo tries to dominate the situation with force, Todoroki tries to reason with the children, Inasa attempts to connect through enthusiasm and sympathy, and Camie tries to charm them affectionately. None of these methods work, and the kids remain dismissive.

As the children grow more insulting, Bakugo and Camie begin pushing Inasa and Todoroki toward using force to put the class in its place. Present Mic serves as commentator from the sidelines while Endeavor and All Might watch the exercise, and the tension rises as it becomes clear that the students are close to failing the task by taking the wrong approach. The episode closes with the trainees still unable to gain the children’s respect, leaving the remedial test in trouble.
