My Hero Academia Episode 89: All Hands on Deck! Class 1-A

The episode opens with Class 1-A talking about Endeavor’s recent battle with the high-end Nomu and the impact of that fight on everyone. Aizawa then begins class, but an alarm interrupts and the students are told to respond to an emergency drill involving “villains” on U.A. grounds.

The class immediately switches into hero mode and heads out in their costumes to investigate a simulated disaster in one of the school’s training cities. They quickly learn that the situation is divided into multiple emergencies: a building has collapsed, smoke is spreading, a fire needs to be contained, and people need to be rescued.

Class 1-A splits into teams to handle the crisis. One group takes on reconnaissance and tries to figure out the situation, while others focus on firefighting and rescue work. The students coordinate their efforts as they move through the mock city, treating the drill as if it were a real villain attack.

As they progress, the “villains” appear, and the class realizes the drill is testing them against some of U.A.’s strongest upperclassmen acting as opponents. The fight becomes a serious teamwork exercise, with the students forced to communicate, adapt, and combine their abilities under pressure.

The rescue portion of the drill centers on a person caught in danger near the river, and the class works together to save them while also dealing with the opposing “villains.” The students manage to put out the fire, complete the rescue, and overcome the mock enemies through cooperation rather than individual power alone.

Bakugo lands the finishing blow in the battle, but he becomes angry when it seems like his opponent may have been holding back. His frustration leads to a large explosion, and the episode leaves him facing consequences from the teachers after the exercise.

A brief post-credits scene shifts away from the drill and shows Endeavor in a hospital bed, badly injured and bandaged after his earlier battle. In his condition, he is approached by a mysterious new figure who introduces himself as if this is their first meeting.
