My Hero Academia Episode 90: Vestiges

Endeavor is recovering after his fight with the High-End Nomu when Dabi arrives and traps him and Hawks in a ring of blue flames, forcing the exhausted heroes into a desperate standoff. Before Dabi can press the attack, Mirko appears and interrupts the fight, giving the heroes a chance to escape the immediate danger.

The episode then shifts to a quiet meeting between Hawks and Dabi. Dabi confronts Hawks about the previous operation and questions why he did not create more casualties, while Hawks explains that causing too much destruction would have drawn suspicion. The scene makes it clear that Hawks has been working undercover and feeding information back while maintaining his cover with the villains.

After that, Endeavor returns home from the hospital and tries to reconnect with his family. Fuyumi welcomes him and tries to keep the atmosphere calm, but Natsuo is openly angry and refuses to fully engage, leaving the room in frustration. Shoto is present as well, but the family gathering is strained and uneasy rather than reconciliatory.

The episode’s final section follows Midoriya after training, as he falls asleep and experiences a strange dream-like vision. In it, he sees the vestiges of the previous One For All users, including a hidden figure who seems connected to the power’s origins. Midoriya is then shown a scene from long ago involving the original holder of One For All and a man who forced an inherited power on his younger brother, and the episode ends with the younger brother telling Midoriya that he cannot reveal more until Midoriya develops greater control of One For All.
