Prison Break Episode 4: Cute Poison

Michael pushes deeper into his escape preparations by obtaining the chemicals he needs for a corrosive solution, while his new cellmate, Haywire, becomes fixated on Michael’s tattoo and starts to notice details that could expose the plan.

Inside the prison, Michael’s arrangement with Sucre becomes strained when Sucre learns that his girlfriend, Maricruz, may be slipping away from him because another man has been lying to her about Sucre’s intentions. Sucre realizes he needs to get back on Michael’s side and be part of the escape again, so he pushes to return to Michael’s cell.

Michael uses the chemicals to begin corroding a pipe under the infirmary as part of the breakout plan, but Haywire’s interest in the tattoo creates an immediate threat because he is close to understanding what Michael is doing. To protect the plan, Michael deliberately injures himself so the guards take him away before Haywire can expose anything. Sucre is then moved back into Michael’s cell and continues working with him on the escape.

Outside the prison, Veronica keeps pressing forward in Lincoln’s defense by teaming with an attorney who is willing to take a closer look at the case. At the same time, people with an interest in Lincoln’s fate begin watching Veronica more closely, suggesting that her investigation is drawing attention from powerful figures.

Lincoln’s fear grows as his execution date looms, and his nightmares about dying become more intense. Meanwhile, prison authorities and other observers begin to suspect that Michael is up to something, with the episode ending on the sense that his escape work has not gone unnoticed.
