Season 2· aired 2015-09-13

Rick joins in on hijinks while Beth and Jerry sort out relationship issues.

Full recap

Summer learns that a lunch lady at her school has been killed in a way that suggests a vampire, and she asks Rick to help by making himself younger and coming to school. Rick dismisses the idea at first, but after Beth and Jerry start arguing about their marriage, he takes the couple to an off-world marriage counseling facility and leaves Summer to deal with the vampire problem.

At the school, Morty and Summer are surprised when Rick shows up in a teenage body and calls himself Tiny Rick. Tiny Rick quickly helps them confront the vampire threat, and it turns out the school’s vampire is Coach Feratu. After the vampire is killed, Tiny Rick becomes an instant hit with the students, far more popular than Rick usually is.

Back at the counseling facility, Beth and Jerry are made to confront their negative perceptions of each other through the therapy process. Their session becomes increasingly hostile and physically dangerous as their resentments come to life in the form of aggressive manifestations that escape control.

Tiny Rick is supposed to return to Rick’s original body, which is waiting in a vat in the garage, but he resists going back. He enjoys being young and popular too much and keeps dodging the transfer, drawing concern from Summer and Morty. By the end of the episode, the two storylines have both turned into problems: Beth and Jerry’s therapy has gone badly off the rails, and Tiny Rick is reluctant to give up his teenage body.
